Anne Dow-Koughan of
Charlottetown was awarded a “Top Ten Recognition Award” from the Certified
General Accountants Association of Canada, one of the three professional
accounting associations in Canada. This award goes to the top-ten students with
the highest academic performance on their Professional Applications
examinations, the cap-stone examinations of the CGA program of professional
studies.
“I am very pleased to have
one of the brightest accounting students in Canada as a member of our
association”, said Phill Rafuse, President of the Certified General Accountants
of Prince Edward Island. “The CGA program is challenging and tests students’
knowledge, skills and competencies. It is a major accomplishment to rank in the
top ten in Canada.
Anne Dow-Koughan was
presented with the award at the recent CGA annual convocation and awards
ceremony in Charlottetown by Phill Rafuse, President of CGA-PEI and Terry
LeBlanc, Board of Director of CGA-Canada.
Dow-Koughan also received her CGA designation at the event.
